Requirements
- Perform data analysis in support of ad-hoc and standing requests from internal and external requestors with some assistance
- Routinely write complex SQL and PL/SQL queries to extract results for a wide variety of data requests
- Develop appropriate methodology for collecting, analyzing, and presenting results
- Evaluate the findings thoughtfully and thoroughly
- Document approach used to retrieve and manipulate data in order to allow review and replication of work
- Create polished reports for consumers of analysis, as needed
- Conduct presentations on analysis results including conclusions on the accuracy, usefulness, and completeness of the data
- Apply standard statistical methodologies to determine sample sizes, errors rates, standard deviations, and other required data, as needed
- Support a formal data quality program for MSRB Programs to include monitoring, reporting and analysis
- Create, edit, and update documents that describe the elements and flows of the data the organization collects, transforms, and disseminates, as well as the quality standards and specifications the Product Operations department seeks to achieve with the data
- Perform assessments of data quality pursuant to standard methodologies and reports results using standard formats
- Perform risk assessments of various aspects of data quality consistent with risk management practices of the department
- Participate in projects utilizing continuous improvement principles to identify, select, and implement changes to data processes that will improve the quality of data
- Create, test, validate, and document corrections of data
- Support key data suppliers and consumers
- Meet with key knowledge workers who consume Market Information data; documents and reports on their needs and usage of the data and uses that knowledge to guide the standards of quality the department should seek
- Represent data management as part of an Agile development team providing data analysis, data quality and data standards
- Conduct data quality testing to identify errors and inconsistencies on migrated data and recommends corrective solution
- Provide input to management on decisions concerning Data Management projects by providing situation assessments, developing alternative solutions, evaluating risks, costs and benefits, and making recommendations
- Write and review queries used by back office and call center staff for the execution of standard operating procedures or in support of ordinary activities
- Pursue ongoing skill and knowledge development to extend the range and depth of knowledge and skills, within the scope of assigned duties
- Stay abreast of MSRB rules and their impact to the data that is analyzed
- Perform other duties as assigned
