Materials Coordinator

UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper is seeking a Materials Coordinator to facilitate the distribution of supplies in accordance with hospital and departmental policies. This role involves maintaining inventory, processing requisitions, ensuring organization, and providing excellent customer service, all while maintaining high standards of compliance and safety. The coordinator will have input into patient care decisions.

Requirements

• Maintains and stocks assigned supply locations.
• Processes departmental requisitions electronically.
• Receives, processes returns, and maintains par levels.
• Replenishes par levels.
• Maintains supply database.
• Ensures organization and cleanliness within inventory supply rooms.
• Maintains all required competencies.
• Performs other Materials Management functions as requested.
• Maintains annual safety and infection control in-services
• Communications: Interacts with external and internal customers in a positive and diplomatic manner.
• Acts as a liaison to all departments which require the services of Supply Chain Operations.
• Acts as a department liaison for customer service.
• Conducts product research and sourcing.
• Handles vendor backorders, product returns and recalls, and communicates product information and changes.
• Ensures compliance to all department, hospital, Corporate, and Joint Commission policies/recommendations.
