Lab Assistant - Clinical Labs - Float

This part-time, flexible position as a Lab Assistant – Float within UW Health Clinics on a 1st shift is seeking motivated candidates. Duties include performing phlebotomy, specimen handling, testing, and interacting with patients and clinical staff. The role requires excellent patient communication skills and dedication to maintaining quality laboratory protocols.

Requirements

• Perform standardized and specialized phlebotomy procedures.
• Complete specimen receiving and processing.
• Interact with pathologists, physicians, technologists, and nursing staff.
• Maintain appropriate patient identification and specimen labeling.
• Complete clerical duties such as filing, mailing, and faxing.
