Project Accountant

Valard Construction LP is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Accountant for a major projects department. The role involves providing accounting functions, managing project budgets, and supporting cost control processes for assigned projects. This is a key position reporting to the Project Controller and based in Edmonton, Alberta.

Requirements

• Coordinate and execute project setup.
• Manage project-related account activities.
• Generate client invoices and track billing.
• Maintain and monitor project budgets.
• Review and correct cost coding discrepancies.
• Verify and administer contracts with subcontractors.
• Manage and process accruals for project costs.
• Record financial transactions through journal entries.
• Reconcile project costs.
• Compile and organize information for audits.
• Provide support for changes and reconciliations.
• Manage project closeout.
• Ensure system control and adherence.
• Compile cost accrual summaries.
• Support month-end cost accrual meetings.
• Assist the Project Controller with project costs.
