Academic & College Counselor

This full-time, exempt position supports Valor Christian students in grades 10-12 with academic, post-secondary, and career counseling. The role involves course mapping, mentoring, college application assistance, and building strong relationships with students, families, and the school's social-emotional services team. Valor Christian emphasizes a Christian faith-based school culture and emphasizes a servant-leadership approach.

Requirements

• Possess and Model a Growing Relationship with Christ
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent communication skills for group interactions
• Navigate difficult conversations with students and families with grace and truth
• Administrative and customer service skills
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Expertise in Microsoft Office, Scoir, Student Information System databases, and Google products
• Efficient work pace, managing multiple tasks and overseeing systems and processes
