Integration Technical Lead

Vancity is seeking an Integration Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and optimization of secure, real-time backend systems that connect to our financial platforms at scale. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic guidance to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions integrating enterprise platforms, APIs, and third-party services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on building and maintaining backend systems and APIs
• Proven experience leading integration projects with.NET, Java, Python, or similar API integration platforms
• Expertise in cloud platforms (eg: Azure, AWS) development, designing and maintaining real-time and event-driven patterns
• Experience implementing and maintaining RESTful or GraphQL APIs with.NET, MuleSoft and Azure integration/API management platforms
• Strong knowledge of authentication, authorization, security best practices, and performance optimization for APIs.
• Solid grasp of security, scalability, and data governance principles in integration contexts
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in automation, AI/MK Integrations, or financial services domain is an asset
