Job Description
Vanilla is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - AI Applications with a strong background in software development, data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to build applied AI applications focused on producing high accuracy rates. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with engineering and subject matter experts to find innovative and disruptive uses of AI to streamline (or replace) workflows.
Requirements
- Machine learning and AI
- Passion and knowledge about the current and future state of AI
- Utilizing existing Large Language Models to build applied AI applications
- Construction services to ingest results
- Working with product and engineering teams to build models/services
- Drive technical vision and leverage open source technologies and cloud services
- Building tooling to support model training, evaluation, inference serving, monitoring and alerting
- Latest ML frameworks and open source tools
- Direct experience with software engineering
- Modern languages like Python, Javascript, Go, Rust
- Building microservices
- Understanding tradeoffs of the approach
- Data handling
- Identifying, extracting, transforming, and loading data
- Database management
- Designing and implementing schemas
- Optimizing queries
- Managing database performance
