Job Description
Varda is seeking a Propulsion Development Engineer to design, develop, and test chemical propulsion engines for their spacecraft. The role involves ownership over the entire development lifecycle from clean sheet design to deployment, coordinating with teams internally and externally, and optimizing the propulsion system for future space vehicles. Varda is focused on accelerating the development of commercial space infrastructure and expanding economic bounds for humanity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an applicable technical field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in rocket engine development
- Understanding of combustion device design and analysis
- Willingness to take ownership of problems and drive projects to completion
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic, highly technical environment
