Job Description
Vesuvius, plc, is seeking a Senior R&D Project Leader to join the Flow Control group at its refractories research centre in Mons, Belgium. The role involves developing product and production process improvements, designing and conducting experiments, collaborating with teams, and identifying technological advancements. The company values dedication, creativity, and a dynamic environment.
Requirements
- You have a master’s or Ph.D Degree in Materials or Ceramic Science/Engineering or Civil Engineering or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in R&D and/or in a similar role.
- Technical knowledge in applied materials science and engineering.
- Knowledge of material processing, material characterization, and steelmaking process.
- Logical, methodical, and an adept of a 'scientific' approach.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in leading multi-disciplinary projects.
- High level of autonomy and motivation.
- Interest in teamwork.
- English proficiency (working language) and knowledge of French (a plus).
- Ability to present technical subjects to non-technical audiences.
