Veterans Engineering is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide essential support to our nursing staff in a variety of healthcare settings. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in patient care by assisting with daily living activities and ensuring a high level of comfort and dignity for our patients.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of practice
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, toileting, grooming, feeding, ambulation, and repositioning
- Proficiency in obtaining and accurately documenting vital signs, height/weight, intake and output, and basic patient observations
- Experience with safe patient handling, including transfers, mobility assistance, and use of gait belts and mechanical lifts
- Ability to recognize and promptly report changes in patient condition to licensed nursing staff
- Knowledge of and adherence to infection control practices, including standard, contact, droplet, and airborne precautions
- Strong understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Basic computer skills with the ability to enter, retrieve, and update patient information in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Physical ability to meet job demands, including standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance
