Construction Highway/Bridge Inspector

VIAS Infrastructure is seeking Full-Time Construction Inspectors to join their dynamic NCDOT inspection team. Inspectors will examine construction plans, conduct field measurements, perform material sampling, ensure safety, and support inspection efforts across North Carolina. Experience with out-of-state construction experience is encouraged.

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma, preferred Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology
• 2+ years of road and/or bridge construction inspection and testing experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• NCDOT Certifications (Concrete Field Technician, Conventional, QMS Roadway, Level II Erosion & Sediment Control) within 3 months
• Valid driver's license and favorable driving record
• Good communication and computer skills
• Ability to perform physical activities requiring squatting, bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), climbing, and traversing difficult terrain
• Ability to compute field data, and read and interpret construction plans
