Job Description
The Infection Prevention Coordinator is responsible for the health and safety of patients, staff, and guests related to healthcare-associated infections. This role involves utilizing OSHA standards and CDC guidelines, along with the management of infection prevention practices. The position involves collaboration with other healthcare professionals and providing education on aseptic techniques and data analytics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, or a related field is required.
- Two years of experience in infection prevention is preferred.
- One year of experience in aseptic technique and data analytics is preferred.
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions or compact state licensure in nursing is preferred.
