Medical Assistant - Colorectal Surgery (PRN)

The Medical Assistant ensures a clean and prepared clinical environment for patient care. This PRN position involves performing phlebotomy, preparing specimens, vital signs, and assisting physicians with various tasks. Requires a medical assisting degree or equivalent, strong knowledge of the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard, and BLS certification. The role is performed in the Medical Assistant role at a colorectal surgery program at the HOPD in Arlington, VA.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from a medical assisting degree/program preferred
• Six months of healthcare experience is required
• One year of medical terminology experience is required
• Knowledge of the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard required
• Experience in clinical pharmacology is required
