Sr. Software Engineer (Test Automation)

Visa is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to drive Test Automation and join the PAM (Payment Authorization and Monitoring) Tools Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts, developing and maintaining UI automation scripts, and collaborating with team members through code reviews and pull requests.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, experience with Java collections, exceptions, and file I/O
• Strong understanding of testing frameworks like JUnit or TestNG
• Strong experience with Selenium and Playwright for UI automation
• Solid understanding of Rest Assured for API testing, understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON/XML parsing
• Familiarity with build tools like Maven or Gradle for project dependency management and build automation
• Strong expertise with Jenkins for CI/CD
• Competence in using Git and GitHub for source code management
• Familiarity with IDEs (e.g. Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ, etc.)
• Good understanding of Linux systems and command-line tools
• Proficiency in SQL for writing and executing queries
• Ability to work effectively in a DevOps environment where Dev and QA collaborate closely
• Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Constantly strive to learn new technologies and look for ways to stay up to date in this rapidly changing industry
