The Chaplain Home Care role focuses on providing spiritual care to patients, families, caregivers, and staff. This involves pastoral counseling, and working with individuals facing spiritual challenges. The position requires authenticity, compassion, and skill in dealing with illness and death. Salary is in the $24-$30/hour range.
Requirements
- Ordination or Commission in a pastoral care ministry
- Five years of pastoral experience, preferred; two in a clinical setting
- Minimum of 1 unit (400 hours), preferably 2 or more
- Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) accredited by Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, National Association of Catholic Chaplains, or the Canadian Association for Pastoral Practice and Education.
- Knowledge of spiritual dynamics of illness, loss, and death.
- Ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
