The LPN/LVN provides direct bedside nursing care to terminally ill patients in the VITAS program, according to the Nurse Practice Act. Salary is $35-$38 per hour. This role involves performing skilled nursing care, assessing patient needs, providing treatments and medication administration, and maintaining a safe environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing.
- Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located.
- At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience (at least one year of LPN/LVN in a hospital on an adult medical surgical unit).
- Valid driver's license with liability insurance.
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including weekends or rotating shifts.
