Social Worker

VITAS Healthcare, a leading end-of-life care provider, is seeking a Social Worker to provide emotional and logistical support to patients and their families during their end-of-life journey. This role focuses on ensuring patients reach the end of life with their wishes honored, offering support to loved ones and a trusted and empathetic presence. The position is demanding, requiring strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to patient welfare, and a dedication to the VITAS Difference.

Requirements

• Ability to travel per job requirements.
• Thorough knowledge of community resources or desire to obtain this knowledge.
• Knowledge of key psychosocial issues prevalent with terminally ill patients and their family/caregivers.
• Capacity to relate and work well with others as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to be an effective patient and family advocate.
• Master of Social Work license (or equivalent).
