GIS Officer - 12-month contract

The role involves working as part of the GIS team at Vocus, responsible for fibre design and recording of the fibre network, updating GIS systems, and providing user support.

Requirements

• Knowledge and previous experience with geospatial systems such as QGIS, ArcGIS, Mapinfo, Google Earth (kml-kmz), FME or similar.
• Knowledge and previous experience with Python scripting in a geospatial context.
• Proficient MS Office skills, in particular MS Excel.
• Analytical skills and great attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High level knowledge of fibre design, fibre optical cables and FTTx design.
• Strong problem analysis and resolution skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and documentation skills.
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritize.
