Administrative Assistant II

Volunteers of America-Greater New York is an anti-poverty organization working to end homelessness in the New York area by 2050. We are seeking an Administrative Assistant II to provide critical administrative and programmatic support to ensure efficient operations and compliance with funder and agency standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required with 2-3 years of experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience managing data systems such as HMIS and working with performance-based contracts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, staff, and community partners
• Knowledge of bookkeeping or basic accounting is a plus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
• Commitment to supporting survivors of domestic violence through trauma-informed practices
