The Mechanical Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing people, resources, mechanical maintenance activities and the systems of the Mechanical Maintenance Department. The role includes providing leadership, developing and maintaining the annual mechanical maintenance budget, and ensuring plant equipment does not create instances of poor environmental performance or safety issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or two-year college or technical; or five to seven cement plant maintenance experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Mechanical aptitude/experience. Familiarization of heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of cement technology, kiln operation, process control and cement manufacturing and mining.
- Health, Safety and Environmental legislative/regulatory requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Exceptional ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, geometry, and engineering calculations. Ability to use engineering formulas.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should preferably have knowledge of CMMS SAP PM, MS Office, AutoCAD, AutoDESK.
