Job Description
The Registered Sonographer/Ultrasound role involves assisting physicians with diagnostic procedures using ultrasound equipment. Graduates of an accredited Sonography Training Program are eligible to register as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Abdominal and Pelvic Imaging. This position offers variable shift work and is part of a Medical Imaging Service team.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Sonography Training Program
- Eligible to be registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Abdominal and Pelvic Imaging
- ARDMS required
- AHA BLS required
- Certified in Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine (preferred)
- Registered in Vascular Sonography (preferred)
- Minimum of six (6) months post graduate and registry experience preferred in a hospital-based Ultrasound Department
- Able to adjust to add-on and emergency procedures
