There is a research opportunity in the laboratory of Yunshuo “Caroline” Tang, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor of Neurology and Ophthalmology, and member of the WashU Neurofibromatosis Center. The team focuses on understanding how tumors damage the optic nerve and lead to blindness, and is looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join the research team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education
- No specific work experience is required for this position
- Ability to work with mice
- Experience with molecular biology techniques or mouse handling is highly preferred
- Solid foundation of knowledge in molecular and cellular biology, immunology, and/or neuroscience
- Strong basic laboratory, organizational and record keeping skills
- Ability to work independently, follow established protocol reliably, and communicate openly and effectively with laboratory staff and investigators
- Experience with standard Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
