The Chen Ultrasound Lab in the Department of Neurological Surgery with WashU Medicine has an opening for a motivated Staff Scientist. The lab combines engineering, biology, and medicine to develop innovated focused ultrasound techniques to improve the lives of patients with brain disease.

Requirements

• Designs research protocols
• Assists in developing and conducting research projects
• Performs complex statistical analysis of data collected
• Writes interpretative reports
• Documents research topics and prepares and submits papers for publication or presentation
• Solves practical problems relating to difficulties with equipment or test subjects
• Conducts literature searches related to research project
