System Strengthening Officer

WaterAid is seeking a System Strengthening Officer to support the implementation of interventions aimed at enhancing WASH systems at CWASA, communities, Chattogram City Corporation and Chattogram Development Authority. The role involves working collaboratively with government agencies, autonomous bodies, civil society, and private sector partners to strengthen institutional capacity, improve service delivery, and promote coordination and accountability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Development Studies, Public Health, Social Science or a related field
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in WASH system strengthening, capacity building, or related areas
• Experience working with government institutions, NGOs, or development partners
• Basic understanding of WASH sector policies and institutional frameworks
• Strong communication and facilitation skills
• Experience in organizing training and capacity-building activities
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities
• Good report writing and presentation skills
• Familiarity with the local language or dialect of Chattogram would be considered an asset
