Custodian

Ensures entire school/facility is sanitized, cleaned, and maintained. Performs minor or routine maintenance on custodial equipment and reports repairs needed, safety concerns, and school property damage to supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative in completing work assignments
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form
• Ability to use all assigned equipment in a safe manner per manufacturer’s specifications
• Ability to attend and successfully complete required employee trainings provided by Wake County Public School System (WCPSS)
• Ability to consistently follow safety precautions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school system staff, contractors, parents, and students
