This position is for a Special Education Teacher dedicated to providing direct instructional programs for students with disabilities. The role involves monitoring programs, maintaining confidentiality, ensuring a conducive learning environment, and collaborating with school staff, parents, and the community. The teacher will develop and implement IEPs, assess student progress, and participate in IEP meetings.
Requirements
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Extensively know instructional practices and curriculum standards.
- CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Hold or be eligible for a North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in Exceptional Children’s teaching area.
- STRONG teamwork skills and communication abilities.
- Ability to maintain composure and de-escalate challenging behaviors.
