Data Engineer

Weekday is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join their growing team and build and maintain scalable data infrastructure. This role involves designing and optimizing data workflows, integrating data from multiple sources, and ensuring data quality and reliability. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong understanding of modern AWS data technologies.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering
• Strong exposure to AWS-based data ecosystems
• Proficiency in SQL, AWS Glue, Kinesis, Redshift, S3, Databricks, and PySpark
• Experience in Data Lake design, ETL pipeline orchestration, and workflow automation
• Familiarity with Airflow, Step Functions, or similar orchestration frameworks
• Strong understanding of data modeling, performance tuning, and data quality management
• Deep understanding of AWS architectures and cost optimization
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work onsite 2 days/week
