Engineering Manager

This is an engineering management role for the Weekday's client, requiring a highly motivated and experienced engineer with a strong background in Python and startup experience. The role focuses on building scalable, high-quality software products, leading engineering teams, and shaping the technical vision. It involves collaboration with founders and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 7-11 years of experience in software engineering, with significant hands-on expertise in Python development
• Prior experience in founding or working closely with startup leadership teams is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, algorithms, and system design
• Proven experience in building and managing high-performing engineering teams
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern development practices such as CI/CD, microservices, and containerization
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make architectural and strategic technical decisions
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to balance long-term vision with short-term execution in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
• Passion for mentoring, coaching, and developing engineering talent
