Job Description
WellSpan Health is seeking a full-time Nurse Assistant and Activity Specialist to provide therapeutic interventions and support patients in an inpatient setting, particularly within an adult psych inpatient. The role involves direct patient care, monitoring plan of care, and promoting patient participation in activities. Emphasis is placed on safety, comfort, and team collaboration.
Requirements
- Coordinates and monitors activities of care plan.
- Provides direct care to patients, assisting with behavioral management and adapting to stressors.
- Assists in development of and updating care plans and discharge planning.
- Promotes patient attendance and participation in activities.
- Maintains established policies and procedures and contributes to safety.
- Completes documentation according to standards.
- Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles over the life span of assigned patients.
