Job Description
Umialik Insurance Company is seeking a Senior Casualty Claims Representative to join their team. The individual in this role will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve multi-line insurance claims as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of industry practices, standards, and claims concepts
- Prior claims experience with a strong preference for commercial lines claims experience
- Ability to multitask and solve problems
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in lieu of degree acceptable
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Analytical with ability to exercise sound business judgment
- Good time management
- Customer Service oriented
- Proficient use of various core systems, office and computer equipment, and software packages
- Strong coverage analysis skills
- Exceptional writing skills
