Job Description
Westfalia Fruit is seeking a Head of Sourcing to lead their Europe team and ensure the sourcing of fresh fruit and related products. The role involves leading a team, building strong partnerships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing risks, and driving efficiency. This position focuses on delivering reliable supply, maintaining quality, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Requirements
- Must have prior substantial experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management of avocados, Mangos, Pitted Fruit or Berries.
- Proven track record in supplier and grower management, including contract negotiation, supplier development, and long-term partnership building.
- Experience with perishable products, seasonal cycles, and supply risk management.
- Strong knowledge of European food safety standards, sustainability practices, and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-border sourcing and logistics in a complex, matrixed organisation.
- Fluent in English.
