Job Description
Westfalia Fruit is seeking a Head of Sourcing for Germany to lead their talent team and ensure the consistent supply of fresh produce. The role is responsible for sourcing avocados, mangos, pitted fruit, or berries across Europe, managing partnerships with growers and suppliers, and ensuring compliance with food safety and sustainability standards. The Head of Sourcing will be a key member of the global sourcing leadership team, translating strategy into regional execution.
Requirements
- Experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management of avocados, mangos, pitted fruit, or berries.
- Proven track record in supplier and grower management, including contract negotiation, supplier development, and long-term partnership building.
- Experience with perishable products and seasonal cycles.
- Strong knowledge of European food safety standards and sustainability practices.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-border sourcing and logistics.
- Fluent in English.
- Customer-first attitude.
- Collaborative leadership skills.
- Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
