Job Description
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for performing various specialized assignments and supervising security and residential aide employees in a 200+ bed men's homeless shelter. The role involves training new employees, monitoring access control, responding to incidents, and ensuring the safety and security of clients and staff.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in social services, criminology or related field; or equivalent experience
- Valid N.Y.S Security Guard License, Fire Guard License, and certified in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI)
- General knowledge of security systems
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions based on factual information
- Knowledge of video surveillance and fire detection / alarm notification system
