Technical Program Manager, Payments

Join Whatnot as a Technical Program Manager to help scale observability, reliability, and on-call capabilities and drive the engineering roadmap to enhance stability and execution model. The role involves defining requirements and technical roadmap with engineering and product teams, communicating progress to key stakeholders, and unblocking the engineering team to move at a rapid pace. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience, a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, and experience leading complex initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
• Experience leading complex, multi-disciplinary, and highly visible technical and operational initiatives
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and make decisions with limited information in high-pressure situations
• Proven ability to develop sound research methodologies and collect, synthesize, analyze, and interpret data
• Experience in design, hypothesis-driven product development, and the payments domain is a plus
