Job Description
The Senior Major Gift Officer is a key fundraising role for the Wikimedia Foundation, focusing on securing major gifts and planned gifts. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Major Gifts & Planned Giving and will require a strategic approach to donor cultivation, both personally and at scale. The ideal candidate will have experience with large donors and strong communication skills.
Requirements
- 4 years of successful fundraising experience, including at least 3 years of direct major gifts experience
- Personal success in raising money from individual major donors
- Broad knowledge of development activities including direct solicitations, event planning, and planned giving
- Excellent relationship management skills and diverse donor experience
- Exceptional verbal communication skills
- Comfort and experience in a technology-driven environment
