William Osler Health System (Osler) is a hospital system in Canada that provides a safe and supportive healthcare network. They are seeking a Registered Nurse - Mother Baby with clinical experience in obstetrics and a minimum of two years experience within the last five years.
Requirements
- Clinical experience within the last five years, with a minimum of two years within obstetrics
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate
- Completion of Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario Breastfeeding e-learning course
- Current Fetal Health Surveillance certificate
- Obstetrics Nursing certificate or enrolled within six months of hire
- Current registration, and in good standing, with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- BCLS
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, conflict-resolution and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of an inter-professional team
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient and family-centred care
- Demonstrated experience with patient and family health teaching
- Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated excellent customer service, organizational and critical-thinking skills
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development as it applies to the profession and related field
- Demonstrated ability to work in a stressful and fast-paced environment
- Exemplary clinical practice within an inter-professional team to develop appropriate strategies for patient care
- Ability to prioritize patient care needs and make autonomous decisions
- Excellent physical assessment skills
- Ability to promote a healthy work environment and practice excellent client safety guidelines
- Knowledge and understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
