Stress Engineer

Windracers is seeking a Stress Engineer to join their team. The role involves performing structural analysis, vibration and modal analysis, and integration and collaboration with design and test teams. The successful candidate will have a degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering and 3+ years of experience in structural analysis.

Requirements

• Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in structural analysis
• Proficiency in FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN, Abaqus)
• Strong understanding of vibration and modal analysis
• Experience with fatigue, damage tolerance, and dynamic load analysis
• Knowledge of composite and metallic materials and associated failure modes
• Familiarity with aerospace structural standards and practices
• Experience with flight vehicle vibration environments
• Heat transfer and experience using CFD tools for basic simulation cases
• Exposure to environmental and durability testing
• Familiarity with scripting or automation (Python, MATLAB)
• Right to work within the UK
• Vetting and security clearance (as required by role, location or client)
