Cloud Architect

We are seeking a Cloud Architect to design and lead the implementation of cloud-based solutions that empower field teams, improve program delivery, and ensure organizational resilience. As a Cloud Architect, you will collaborate closely with IT, program leads, and partners to align cloud infrastructure with both technical needs and humanitarian outcomes.

• Design and lead the implementation of cloud-based solutions
• Embed a security-first leadership mindset into every stage of solution design and delivery
• Collaborate closely with IT, program leads, and partners to align cloud infrastructure
• Lead platform design, governance, and team development
• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of cloud projects
• Integrate cloud platforms with internal systems and field technologies securely and efficiently
• Champion a security-first leadership mindset
• Ensure compliance with global data protection laws and donor requirements
• Lead business continuity and disaster recovery strategies
• Serve as a technical advisor and thought leader across IT, programs, data, and operations teams
• Mentor junior architects, engineers, and project teams
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, automation, and security-as-code initiatives
• Manage relationships with AWS and Azure account teams and technical partners
• Analyze and optimize cloud spend while ensuring security and compliance controls remain intact
