Job Description
Worth AI is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to lead the company-wide data architecture and platform. The role involves designing and scaling reliable data pipelines, ensuring data quality and governance, and enabling analytics/ML with secure systems. The ideal candidate will contribute to building durable data products with engineering, product, analytics, and security teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years in data engineering
- 3+ years as staff/principal
- Deep experience with cloud (AWS) and data warehouse/lakehouse
- Strong SQL and one programming language (Python or Scala/Java)
- Orchestration, transformations, and streaming (Kafka/Kinesis/PubSub)
- Data modeling (3NF, star, data vault)
- Data quality testing, lineage, and observability
