Job Description
Woven by Toyota is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Map Services team in Tokyo. The team develops next-generation automotive technology utilizing cloud and embedded software to process map-related data and deliver it wirelessly to vehicles. The ideal candidate will develop scalable orchestration technology and geospatial cloud services, collaborating closely with the client development team to deliver critical AD/ADAS data to vehicles.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience with modern programming languages in the backend (e.g., Rust, Go, Python)
- Experience planning and applying new engineering practices to improve the efficiency and quality of work for engineering teams
- Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Kubernetes, and experience managing infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform
- Basic security knowledge (authentication, encryption, network security protocols, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to perform duties in both Japanese and English
