Bridge Inspection Team Leader

WSP is seeking a Full-Time Bridge Inspection Team Leader to support our robust and growing Bridge Inspection Practice in the Southeast Region. This role involves planning, scheduling, and performing bridge inspections, generating reports, and performing engineering calculations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in bridge inspection and design, and will be responsible for leading a team of inspectors.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a construction related discipline or relevant construction related job experience or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline
• 3+ years of experience in bridge design and/or bridge inspection
• NHI Course 130055 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges Certificate
• Proficient self-discipline with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment
• Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Physically capable of performing field work including climbing ladders (40ft or less) and in close quarters
• Proficiency/Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek
• Occasional travel/overnight travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements and project location
