Job Description
The HSE Inspector is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across the Project site, promoting a strong safety culture, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE plans, policies, and risk assessments for project activities.
- Monitor compliance with safety procedures, permits, and environmental management plans.
- Participate in incident and near-miss investigations; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure that all workers and subcontractors follow established HSE procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training for site personnel.
- Maintain records of inspections, safety meetings, trainings, and incidents.
- Support emergency preparedness drills and ensure emergency equipment is inspected and maintained.
- Coordinate with the construction and supervision teams to ensure safe work practices.
- Assist the HSE Manager in preparing weekly and monthly HSE performance reports.
