Join our dynamic Sustainable Water Management team as a Senior or Principal Hydrologist and contribute to high-profile Water Industry Natural Environment Programme (WINEP) and Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP) projects across the UK. Opportunity to work on a significant programme of AMP8 WINEP projects for multiple high-profile UK water companies and deliver challenging Environmental Destination projects.
Requirements
- Track record of contributing to the hydrological and water management elements of WINEP investigations and WRMP inputs in recent AMP cycles.
- Experience in the development of rainfall runoff models, together with a sound understanding of model calibration techniques.
- Solid understanding of wider hydrology approaches that are often required for water resources applications in England and Wales.
- Familiarity with demand management and water resources modelling approaches.
- Good understanding of the latest UK water resources management regulations, including the Water Resources Planning Guidelines and WINEP guidance.
- Understanding of approaches to assessing climate change resilience.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance, to include the production of high quality client and stakeholder/regulator facing deliverables.
- Programming experience in Python and/or R, together with an interest in developing these skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to write high quality concise reports.
- Working collaboratively with other sectors/disciplines to deliver the hydrological aspects of a wide range of challenging and engaging projects.
