Senior Engineer - Piping (Oil & Gas) role involves designing and developing piping systems and components, reviewing design specifications, vendor management, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The candidate must have a valid passport, a high school degree, and 10-14 years of experience in a consulting firm in an EPCM environment in the O & G, Power, Mining processing industry. The role requires collaboration, technical capability, adaptability, and learning.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of piping design codes and standards
- Knowledge of process engineering principles and equipment specifications
- Understanding of fabrication and construction techniques for piping systems
- Design and develop piping systems and components
- Review detailed piping layout drawings
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards
- Review design specifications, vendor management, technical evaluations, and ensuring compliance with industry standards for piping items
- Engineering & design experience in piping system, pipe supports, pipe support structures, steel & RC structures
- Preparation of Pipe wall thickness calculations, external pressure calculation, branch chart calculations, and line blanks
- Development of project standards, technical specifications for piping materials
- Preparation of Valve Material Specifications, datasheets for all piping special items
- Preparation of RFQs for piping bulk items, valves, specialty items
- Carrying out technical evaluation of vendor offers against RFQs
- Preparation of technical bid study reports
- Assisting in all interfacing, engineering, and construction groups in the area of piping material
- Extraction and handling Piping MTO for the project
- Develop inspection and testing plans (ITPs) for tanks and vessels
- Ability to resolve all piping material related bottlenecks in project
- Completion of a high-quality self-check of own work with efficiency
- Reporting progress of work assignment to immediate supervisor
- Communication with internal peers and project team and required to answer questions regarding deliverables
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects with accurate prediction of time required to fulfill individual scopes of work
- Coordinating with Australian lead offices as per project requirement
- Actively participate in the design and provide input to the design team throughout the design process
- Ensuring that quality procedures are implemented and maintained
- Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to Lead Engineer or project manager in AU
- Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies
- Support the company's approach to sustainability
- Ability to communicate in a multi-disciplinary project team

- Identify improvements (where possible) to enhance WSP service to clients
- Complete accurate timesheets by set deadline
