Wunderlich-Malec Services is seeking a Mechanical Project & Service Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a diverse engineering skill set and the ability to work independently and self-start. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing mechanical components for turbomachinery control systems, as well as project management and customer training.
Requirements
- BS Mechanical Engineering is preferred
- 5-10 years of experience in or exposure to areas below is preferred
- Advanced understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, piping/tubing principles and practices, fluid flow and piping pressure drop effects, etc.
- Safe and proper use of hand, power tools, and fabrication equipment to build, assemble, and test industrial machinery and systems
- Experience with AutoCAD / Inventor (or similar 3D) design software
- Experience with MIG/TIG welding preferred
- Experience with stainless steel tube routing, bending, and swaging preferred
- Understanding of auxiliary equipment in an electrical generating or plant environment: turbomachinery, pumps, power transfer linkages (statics/dynamics), etc. preferred, though not required
