Field Technician cum Driver - FTTH/Fiber

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fiber Optic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end installation of Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) services at customer premises.

Requirements

• Installation and termination of fiber optic cables from the network distribution point to the customer's home (drop cable).
• Installation and configuration of Optical Network Terminals (ONT) and Wi-Fi routers.
• Setting up internet services for customers, including configuring router settings such as SSID, password, DHCP, and other relevant parameters.
• Fusion splicing to join fibers as needed, ensuring low loss and high performance.
• Conducting light-level testing using an optical power meter to verify signal strength and troubleshoot any issues.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to fiber optic connections, equipment, and customer-side network problems.
• Maintaining detailed and accurate records of all installations, service calls, and fault-handling activities.
• Providing clear and concise education to customers on how to use their new services and equipment, including basic troubleshooting steps.
• Ensuring all tools and equipment are well-maintained and used safely during all site visits, and adhering to all company safety protocols and procedures.
