Job Description
YMC is seeking a Transmission Line Quality Inspector to support an electrical utility transmission project. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for monitoring and verifying that all construction activities meet project specifications, utility standards, safety requirements, and quality control procedures.
Requirements
- Conduct daily inspections of transmission line construction, including foundations, structures, hardware, conductor installation, and grounding systems.
- Verify that work is performed according to engineering drawings, technical specifications, and utility requirements.
- Document inspection findings with detailed reports, photographs, and quality checklists.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with project schedules, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
- Identify and report deficiencies or non-conformance issues, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Coordinate with the construction manager, utility representatives, and contractor teams to resolve quality issues.
- Perform material inspections and verify proper handling, storage, and installation.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA, NESC, and utility-specific safety standards.
- Support commissioning and project closeout activities by reviewing as-built documentation and quality records.
