Job Description
Join our team as a Swim Instructor at West Park YMCA, delivering effective swim instruction using the Y of the USA swim curriculum. Knowledgeable, punctual, and professional instructors required to lead classes for YMCA members, program participants, and non-members.
Requirements
- Demonstrate skills and explain them clearly to class members
- Plan and prepare each teaching class in advance
- Observe all YMCA attendance and safety rules
- Maintain positive rapport with participants and parents
- Conduct classes in accordance with YMCA of Cleveland standards and guidelines
- Responsible for the safety of all participants
- Gather periodic participant feedback
- Leaves program area in a safe 'closed down manner'
- Follows all established policies and procedures
- Participate in and support association events and fund-raising activities
- Secures required trainings and certifications
- Conducts regular sanitation of equipment and assigned areas
