Job Description
The YMCA of Superior California is seeking lifeguards for their new location in downtown Sacramento. This role focuses on maintaining safe swimming conditions, ensuring member safety and engagement, and adhering to YMCA policies and procedures. Responsibilities include surveillance, emergency response, equipment checks, and record keeping.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer
- AED
- Basic First Aid
- YMCA Lifeguarding Certification
- Oxygen Administration certification
- Physical and mental readiness
- Ability to pass lifeguard water test
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to continuously scan the pool area
- Ability to communicate verbally
