Job Description
Yorkshire Water is seeking a Distribution Maintenance Trunk Main Technician to join the Water Distribution team. The role involves flushing and sampling distribution mains, proactive maintenance, assessing risks, and providing support to Network Engineering. It's a permanent position with 37 hours a week and opportunities for learning and development within a supportive environment.
Requirements
- An understanding of the design and operation principles of potable water distribution network assets
- Excellent IT skills - Excel essential
- Strong Health and Safety awareness and compliance
- An understanding of the operation principles of water hydraulics
- Practical approach and ability to amend planned activities
- Knowledge of key mechanisms of discolouration on the network
- Clean water experience and water hygiene accreditation
- Knowledge of risk management
- Knowledge of relevant Performance Committments
- Calm network trained
- NRASWA Operative O1 - Signing, Lighting and Guarding
- Toughbook user with Odyssey & Schematics experience
- Medium Risk Confined Space trained
- Working at Height - Operations trained
